June 10th, 1948 – September 27th, 2025
The Fahy family are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Gwendolyn Dianna Fahy, of “Highbury”, Mt Wyndham Drive, Hamilton Parish. Beloved wife of the late Michael Francis Fahy and daughter of the late Gwen O’Neill, on 27th September 2025 in her 78th year. Predeceased by brother Hugh and sister Teri, Gwen’s memories and legacy live on through her sons Michael [Eimear] and Stephen [Maggie], her grandchildren: Aydin, Nasser, Zarah, Evelyn, Aine and Éirinn, her sisters Pat and Sue, brother-in-law Glen, nieces and nephews in Canada and the UK, Fozeia and other family and friends locally and abroad. Gwen’s long association with Somersfield Academy and earlier, the Reading Clinic, enabled her to touch the lives of many children and their parents, but her love for her husband Mike, who passed in February 2024, was second to none.
In accordance with Gwen’s wishes, a Celebration of Life service for her and her late husband Mike, will be announced shortly. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to PALS, 18 Point Finger Road, Paget, DV04.
