Herbert Charles ‘Hunky’ Burrows

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Herbert Charles “Hunky” Burrows, husband of the late Joan Elizabeth Burrows, father of Donna and Tammy in his 88th year of 11 Barry Lane, St. George.
A graveside service will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Secretary Road, St. George on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. for Herbert Charles Burrows. “Hunky”, as he was affectionately called, was the devoted husband of the late Joan Elizabeth Burrows, loving son of the late Anita Burrows-Alexander and Herbert Charles [Libby] Thompson. He leaves to cherish in his memory his two daughters: Donna and Tammy Burrows [Jason], cherished grandfather to Danielle and Clynae Burrows; great grandfather to Tyelle Phillips, Xyaiden and Xaya Burrows.
He also leaves his sibling Joan ‘Dot’ Smith, his aunt Betty Smith, sister-in-law Christine Harrell [Jimmy]; brothers-in-law: David Wall Sr. [Roseann] and Brian Wall, nieces, nephews, cousins, the Gibbons and Thompson families and friends too numerous to mention. He was pre-deceased by his brothers Arthur “Nature boy”, Maxwell “Joe”, Richard “Burro” and Noel Burrows, sister Janet Stone and sister-in-law, Mary Pace.
