Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Mrs. Hilda Elizabeth Simons nee Black
A Home Going service for Mrs. Hilda Elizabeth Simons nee Black beloved wife of the late Leroy Simons, daughter of the late Calvin and Mary Black [DeShields], loving mother to Malcom [Marie], Averylon [Evol], Derek Simons, Valetta Simons, Valeria Burgess-Tucker [Edison] in her 95th year of 13 Upland Street, Devonshire will be held at Christ Church Devonshire on Sunday June 5th 2016 at 3pm
Interment will follow at Christ Church Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Augustus Funeral Home Rose Chapel this evening Saturday June 4th from 7:30 – 9:00 pm and also at Christ Church Devonshire on Sunday June 5th, 2016 from 2 pm to 2:55 pm
Also surviving are grandchildren: Carla Greaves [Kevin], Jason Simons, Keivon Richardson, Dawn Spence [Kareem], Dr. Danielle Simons, Michael Knight, Kelly-Ann Smith [Che], Quincy Burgess [Joanne], and Cherie Simons; great-grandchildren: Kevin, Maceo, Nadhiri, Mali, Yeshai, Zahari, Chedi, Destiny, Malia, Naevia, and Rainn; sister: Celeste Davis; sister-in-law: Muriel Black; nephews: Gaven Black, Ian “Woncy” Black [Martha], Gregory Black, Berwyn Thomas [Silita], Cavoleri Thomas [Pinky], Lyndon Black [Jalanti]; nieces: Eleanor Crockwell, Marcille Lewis, Louise Grant, Marilene Simons [Joe], Karen Lottimore, Maxine Black, Avery Emery [Colin], Giovanna Sami [Arnold], Tamiko Ramabuke [Antonio], Erika Morris [Sean]; godchildren: Bernette Stovell [Vaughan] and Sandra Scott; cousins: The DeShields and Daniels families, special friends: Francis Bristol & family, Eunice Richardson, Dorothy Mussenden, Dorothy Tucker, and numerous other relatives and friends. Hilda was predeceased by her husband: Leroy Simons, daughter: LaVerne Landy and grandson Kevin Simons, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and in laws.
