Bulley-Graham-Rawlins Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of James E. Burgess, ‘Brother James’, of Smith’s Parish, in his 71st year, loving son of the late George and Dolly Burgess, father of Jamie Burgess, and grandfather of Benjamin and Giuliana. James was predeceased by brothers Johnny [Brenda] and Robert [Susan] Burgess and is survived by his brother Shawn [Dawn] Burgess, sister Sandra Whitehead, nephews Johnnie, Timothy, Bryan, and Ryan, and nieces Jessica and Lauryn. Special friends Kenneth Harrison, Gene Madeiros, Nakita Robinson & The Worship Room brothers & sisters, Alan G. Furbert, Gary Dowling, Melloney Wescom, and Ray and Jaclyn Da Silva.
The celebration of life service will be held at St. John’s Church, Pembroke parish, on Thursday, 4th of September 2025 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow immediately after the service at St. John’s Cemetery, Pembroke Parish. Colors can be worn. Flowers may be sent. There will be no viewing.
