A graveside service for Janet Elizabeth ‘Bitsy’ Simmons [nee Scott], daughter of Joan and Alvin Scott [deceased] and Leslie and Geraldine Bassett [both deceased], cherished mother of Kiwana Daniel, Kama Simmons [Jason], Kenya Simmons-Scott [David] and Jermaine Simmons, father of children Orin Simmons, in her 70th year of 7 Port Royal Solace Cottage, Spring Benny Road, Sandy’s, will be held at St James Church Graveyard, Sandy’s Today, November 16, 2021 at 11am.
Bitsy is survived by her grandchildren Terrika Smith [Nirobi], Terran Simmons-Talbot [Marco], Tashay Simmons, Marcus Iris-Simmons, Arie and Ethan Daniel and Yendi Chase-Simmons; great grandchildren Emilo, Esi and Nivea Smith, Mase Piper and Roman Simmons; sisters Marguerite ‘Aunt Muggie’ Grey and Jennifer Scott; nieces N Koshea Scott-Millett [Owen], Jeena Gray-Effoe, Alonee Gray and Kasiya Francis; nephew Rikkai Scott; great nephew and niece Riley and Ryan Scott-Millett; aunts; uncles; cousins; special friends Diane Smith, Linda May Woods, Ann Michel, Lucinda Phinn, Sharon Symonds, Janet Cann, Leann and Rudolph ‘Buddy’ Hollis, Mamie Morrissey, Delight Rawlins, Gina Joseph, Kevin Michael Saunders, Dwayne ‘Skells’ Joyiens; godchildren Troy ‘Anthony’ DeSilva, Akanke Parsons, Tammy Goodchild and Kirlita Brown, other family and friends too numerous to mention.
Bitsy was pre-deceased by brothers Tobias and Quincy Scott; special friends Margaret Nicholas and Brenda Gilbert.
