It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kristina Marie “Tina” Nusum [nee Thorne] of Tamarind Vale, Warwick in her 62nd year; daughter of the late, John and Elsie Thorne; sister of Paul [Judith], John “Jet”, Philip [Eileen] and Mark Thorne; loving mother of Christopher, Kirsten and Fiona Nusum; cherished grandmother “nana” of Cayzie Nusum Ford [mother Asha], Marni and Nyla Nusum-Tanner [mother Faye]; niece of Sheila and Allan [deceased] Frick of Bermuda, Rosemarie Sprinzl and Paul Graze of Ohio, USA, David Thorne, and Sheila Thorne [deceased] of New Zealand; sister-in-law of Marquita Thorne and Barbara-Anne Thorne; Aunt of Nashid Umrani, Shaheed Umrani [Tshaloni], Shané Simon [Geo], Tiffany Richardson [Jarion], Aidan, Joshua, Liam and Jacob Thorne.
She leaves behind her longstanding and loved Peace Lutheran Church family, cherished colleagues and friends at Appleby, where she dedicated all 43 years of her career, along with numerous cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and other relatives and special friends both in Bermuda and abroad.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tina’s name may be made to Peace Lutheran Church, where she served in numerous capacities as a faithful sister in Christ [BNTB Account Number: 20-006-060-061954-100].
A funeral service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, South Road, Paget, on Saturday, 17th of May 2025 at 4:00 pm. There will be no viewing. The interment will follow immediately after the service at Wesley Methodist Church Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Pembroke. Colors of spring may be worn.
