AMIS Memorial Chapel regrets to announce the passing of: – Louise Cordelia “Vesey” Darrell [nee Hill]. A celebration of her life, beloved wife of the late John Nathaniel Darrell; daughter of late Byron Henry Hill and the late Mildred Darrell Hill; mother to Barbara Laverne Harrison [Craig], Karen Thomas [the late Allen], the late John Darrell [Joan]; and Nathan Darrell [Katrina]; in her 85th year of Antioch, California and formerly of Hamilton Parish, Bermuda, will be held at Southampton Seventh-Day Adventist Church, on Thursday, June 20th, 2024 at 1.00 pm. Interment will follow at St. George’s Seventh-Day Adventist Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Southampton Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Thursday, June 20th, 2024, from 12.00pm to 12:55 pm.
Lovingly survived by grandchildren: Jeannie Harrison, Ruby Harrison [Mazen Basidiq], Nathan Bradley Darrell, John Darrell, Jeremy Darrell, Carl Darrell [Doreen], Janelle Thomas, Josiah Darrell and Anaiah Darrell; great grandchildren: Seneit Habte, Delina Habte, Ida Lingam, Maya Lingam, Nakano Darrell, Denali Raynor, Alyssia Melvin, Alayah Melvin, Jaquan Darrell, Jahfiyah Thomas, Deonjae Thomas and Ty-jah Thomas; and sister Shirley Swan [Frederick].
Louise Darrell is also predeceased by her siblings, Charles “Charlie” [Irene], Alice, Gilbert “Bert” [Madeline], Roland [Sylvia], Burland “Toppy” [Burnette], Waggoner “Waggie” [Grace], Elizabeth “Beth” Phillips [Quinton], Paul [Esme], Michael “Homer [Maxine “Penny”], and Merrill “Pay” Paynter and other family and friends too numerous to mention. Shades of Pink may be worn.
