Maria De Lourdes Furtado

A funeral mass for Maria De Lourdes Furtado, wife of the late Herminio Furtado, loving mother to Patricia Schrah [Michael], Paul Furtado [Joyce], Sandy van der Made [Gregory], and Diana Furtado; cherished grandmother to Michael, Joshua, Jacob and Megan, in her 81st year, of Southampton, Bermuda, will be held at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Middle Road, Warwick on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Rosary at 11:30 A.M. and mass at 12 P.M.
She was predeceased by her parents Jacinto Moniz Pacheco and Maria Ferreira Maciel, her two brothers, Jose Maciel Moniz [Gloria] and Albano Pacheco; and her sister, Maria Jacinta Pereira from Canada, brother-in-law Luis Furtado, sisters-in-law Sarah Furtado and Carmen Furtado.
Maria is survived by two brothers, Manuel Maciel Pacheco [Adriana] and Jacinto Maciel Pacheco [Luisa], her sister, Madalena Anacleto [Antonio], brother-in-law Germano Furtado [Alda], niece and nephew: Louisa Barbosa [Jose] and Luis Furtado [Miranda] from Bermuda and numerous nieces and nephews from Canada and Azores.
There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PALS Cancer Care in memory of Maria Furtado.
The interment will take place at Saint Paul’s Church Cemetery, Paget Parish, Bermuda.
