It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Soares on March 17, 2025, at the age of 80. Loving mother to Joey [Kaye] and Emily [Robert]. Beloved grandmother to Mark [Heather] and Samantha, great-grandmother to Alistair, Milo, and Mischa, step grandmother [Dadinha] to Cheryl and Adam, and step great-grandmother [Dadinha] to Gloria, Gavin and Gracelyn. Survived by her sisters, Maria Rawlins and Maria Botehlo. She will also be greatly missed and fondly remembered by Gary, Melanie, Mateo, Saniya, Chuckie [Maeisha] & kids and all her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Maria was a hardworking, loving, kind and generous woman with a great sense of humour. She worked at KPMG for 31 years. She loved golfing and spending time with her family and friends. There will be no visitation or funeral service. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart Foundation or Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
