Augustus Funeral Home regrets toannounce the passing of Marion W. H. Tannock [nee Hart] in her 88th year of “Promises Fulfilled”, 44 Dunscombe Road, Warwick; beloved wife of the late David J. Tannock; loving mother of Marionette Tannock, Vaughn [Apples] Tannock and the late David [Chunky] Tannock; adoring grandmother of Juliette Tannock and Shannin Tannock; sister of Maxwell [Keible] Hart, Violet Tucker and Derrick Hart; sisters-in-law Eunice and Dawnette Hart; uncles Edmund “Eddie” Fox and Edward Leslie Trott; bonus son the late Dennis [Truell] Landy and family; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and many adopted grandchildren. Marion will also be fondly remembered by godchildren Lyndell Lovell, Wilma Somner and Walter Leroy Harris, the St. Mary’s Anglican Church family, the Loyal Mayflower Lodge, the Hamilton District Lodge, the Hibiscus Club, the 50 Plus Club, and the Cedar Hill and Dunscombe Road neighborhood families.
Marion was predeceased by siblings Eldridge “Pop” Smith, Ashton “Buster” Smith, Stanford Hart, Lionel Hart, Carolyn Gibbons, Lorraine Tait and Barbara Hunt.
The celebration of life service will be held at St Mary’s Anglican Church, Middle Road, Warwick at 12 noon today, Friday, February 16, 2024. Interment will take place immediately prior to the service at The Holy Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Robert’s Avenue, Devonshire. Please gather at Augustus Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. for a motorcade procession to the graveyard. There will be no visitation on the day of the service.
As blue was Marion’s favourite colour, you are welcome to wear any shade of blue as we pay tribute to Marion and celebrate her life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made ‘In Marion Tannock’s honour’ to the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre at BNTB Account No. 20006060-372314-200 or to the L.C.C.A. at HSBC Account No. 010-287209-001.
