Augustus Funeral Home and the children of Pearl Marie Caines announce the passing of their mother Pearl Marie Caines. Funeral services for Pearl Marie Caines, beloved daughter of the late Henry Advanken Darrell and the late Lillian Almenta Darrell Ogburn [Bulford]; devoted mother of Zina Darrell, Arnette Johnson and Scott Darrell; grandmother to Kristen Darrell, Kenneth Caines, Yunique Caines and Sydel [Scottoya] James; great grandmother to Raynique Caines, Tranaya Reid, Kenori Simons, Sincere Smith, Kenarhz Simons, Nohsar Stobo, Kimiyah Simons, Naitian Stobo and Kimarah Simons in her 87th year of 6 Barrack’s Close, St. George’s will be held at The Seventh Day Adventist Church, Hamilton, on Sunday, 27th July 2025, at 11:00 am with internment to follow at St. James Church Cemetery, Sandys. A viewing will take place on Saturday, 26th July from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. only.
Pearl is also survived by her sisters Catherine Adelle Darrell and Janice Robinson; a host of adopted children; godchildren: Porette Durrant, Linda Mienzer-Bogle, Tanya Smith and Antoine Roach; nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great, great niece and nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. Special friends Marion Smith, Wanda Francis, Marion Betello, Patricia Bean, Veronica Crippen, Lucy and Gladwin Walker. Caregivers Christina and Girlie. The old Southampton Princess family, Young Men Social Club family, Devonshire Seventh Day Adventist family.
Pearl was predeceased by her siblings Albert [Bill] Darrell, Olive Maybury, Sylvia Darrell, and Ann Berry. If we have missed anyone please charge it to our heads and not our hearts. We sincerely appreciate all the calls, texts, flowers and acts of kindness shown towards us during this time.
