A Memorial Service Celebrating the Life of Richard Llewellyn ‘Jackson’ Smith in his 82nd year of #1 Sunset Mews, Pembroke will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Heritage Worship Center, 59 Dundonald Street, Hamilton.
Richard ‘Jackson’ Smith was the beloved husband to Barbara ‘Valerie’ Smith, son of the late Cecil L and Gladys Smith, Father to the late Jefferson ‘Jeff’ Smith and Justis Smith’ Brother to Laurel Smith and the late Eugene ‘Jimmy’ Smith. Cherished Grandsons: Jahquan and Jai-Zel Smith DeShields; Granddaughter: Jahniya Francis; Nephews: William Smith, Dwayne, and Dean Simons, Shane Ramsawh [Melvina], U.S.A., Ramsawh, David Ramsawh [Aneese], U.S.A.; Nieces: Kristy Simons, Dr. Holy Ramsawh, U.S.A.; Brother-in-law: Calvin Simons; Sister-in-law: Cynthia Ramsawh, U.S.A; Special daughter: Juliet Williams; Special Granddaughter: Tessane Williams; Godsons: Paul Joell, Deonne Rawlins and Jeremy Hayward; Goddaughters: Shuntelle Robinson and Katina Weeks. Richard ‘Jackson’ Smith is also remembered by Special Friends: Stanford Rawlins [deceased], Cecil Caisey [deceased], Keith Zuill, Kenneth Zuill, Berlin Rogers, Bishop O’Brien Cartwright, Rev. Dr. Evroyd Weeks, Rev. Dr. Gilbert Hayward, and Rev. Dr. Georgette Prime-Godwin; and a host of Family and Friends too numerous to mention. Richard was predeceased by his in-laws, the late Reynold and Virginia Simons.
