Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Sonya Dorothy Ann Tavares [nee Simmons].
A celebration of life service for Sonya Dorothy Ann Tavares [nee Simmons], of 23 Hillview Road, Warwick, in her 62nd year, wife of the late Goodwin Wayne [Fungi] Tavares, daughter of the late Sidney Alvin Lowe, Audrey Lucille Tucker [nee Simmons] and Lorraine Lowe [nee Furbert], loving mother to Sidkai Tavares, Sydney Tavares and Tia Tankard, step-mother to Gladwin Burgess, Dwayne Tavares, Waynette Robinson, sister to Todd [Colette] Lawrence [USA], Charles Lawrence [USA], Sindy Lowe, Karen Lawrence [USA], Ronette [Kenneth] Boyles, Glendon Furbert and Zoleta Smith [cousin-sister], will be held on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Vernon Temple A.M.E. Church, 6 Hawthorn Lane, Southampton SN 04.
There will be no viewing.
Also left to cherish Sonya’s memory are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends too numerous to mention.
Colors may be worn, especially orange.
