Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Alan Bernard “Jimmy” Tucker.
A homegoing service for Alan Bernard “Jimmy” Tucker, former bandmaster of Somerset Brigade Band, husband of Lorretta Tucker [nee Morrissey]; father of Alan Jay Tucker [Alberta] and Alana Smith [Shawn], in his 90th year of 4 Gatehouse Park, Sandys, will be held on Sunday, 28th July 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at St. James Church, 90 Main Road, Sandys.
Visitation will take place at Somerset Brigade Band Hall, 66 Scott’s Hill Road, Sandys on Saturday, 27th July 2024 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, 28th July 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.
Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
Alan Bernard “Jimmy” Tucker is survived by grandchildren: Tanaya Waldron [Marquel], Lanir Smith, Juana Burgess [Sergio], Shiloh Henderson, Ashleigh Wilson, and Sabria Trott; great grandchildren: Micah and Mateo Waldron, Serjun, Serjunae, and Serjuntae Burgess, Skye and Sarai; siblings Kathleen Lee, Josephine Tucker, Janette Tucker, Jane Simons, Valerie Tucker, and Allison Roberts [Vince]; aunts: Eleanor Lewis, Ueleen Lewis, Frances Ann Thomas, and Ella Dill; nieces and nephews Lesa Williams, Shawn Bailey [Lovette], Angela Brangman [Remonde], Sharazan Bailey, Felicia [Kevin], Terrence [Shawn], Andrea, Suzette [Ray], Tina, Stanley, Edward, Stacey, Tenica [Christopher], Terrell [Darcel], Tionnae, Ieisha, David, and Levince; very special cousins Sis. Gilmore Richardson, Ivan Cann, Norbert, and Ashley Simmons; godchildren Judy Bascome, Lavern Tucker, Donna Roberts, Sharazan Bailey, Troy Ming, and Reginald Cann; sisters-in-law Brenda Wingood [Hilton], Dorothy, and Etoile Morrissey; brother-in-law McNeil Morrissey [Mamie]; special family: present and past members of the Somerset Brigade Band; special friends Jody Bulford, Garen Bulford, Hiram Edwards, Graham Maule, and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Alan “Jimmy” Tucker was predeceased by his mother Esther Genola Tucker, father Elored “Taffy” Simons, son Wendell “Boo/Money” Morrissey, special sister Ione Smith, siblings Christine Tucker, Veronica Brown, David and Anthony Tucker, Frederick Simons, and brothers-in-law Ronald “Chum” and Webster Morrissey.
