Bulley-Graham-Rawlins Funeral Home announces that a Memorial Service for Mr. Alfred John Swift, beloved son of the late Alfred and Gladys Swift of Wigan, England, and devoted husband of the late Susan Swift, will be held at Christ Church Devonshire, on Friday, October 16th, 2026, at 4:00 pm.
John is survived by his children David Swift (Mair) and Margaret Thompson (Robert); grandchildren Huw and Rhys Swift; and Abbigail and Amelia Thompson; brother Jim Swift (Judy), niece Sylvia, nephew Michael of Vancouver, Canada; sister-in-law Katherine Menzies; brother-in-law Duncan Wingood (Janice) of Connecticut, USA, and numerous other relatives. John was predeceased by his sister Enid. He will be lovingly remembered by his many friends here and abroad.
Colors may be worn. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Bermuda Rose Society through direct deposit to their Butterfield account #20-006-060-092523-100, or to the Scout Association of Bermuda through direct deposit to their Bank of Butterfield account #20-006-060-671509-100.
The family extends a special thank you to Yana Swainson at Bermuda In Home Care and her incredible team for the compassionate care they gave John throughout his final years.
