Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Aretta Anne Furbert [nee West].
A homegoing service for Aretta Anne Furbert [nee West], wife of the late Nelfred Furbert, daughter of the late Claude West and Sarah West McPhail, loving mother to Arretta Marie Furbert, Cornelia Rawlins [Dana], and the late Dale West, sister to Shirley West, the late Jim, Claude and Clifford West, Kathleen West, Margaret Clark, Dorothy Ingrouville, and Marilyn MacAskill, in her 90th year of 11 Boundry Lane, St. George’s, will be held at Stella Maris, Catholic Church, St. Georges, today, July 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Preceded by saying the rosary at 1:30 p.m. Donations to pals in lieu of flowers welcomed.
There would be no viewing.
Interment to follow at the Catholic Cemetery, St. George’s.
Lovingly survived by grandchildren: Zac [Farrah], Jada and Destiny Rawlins, and the late Isaiah Furbert; great-grandchild: Malik Rawlins; brothers-in-law: Llewelyn [Lulu], Graeme [Flash] [Roslyn], Charles [Bert], Ross Furbert, Robert Dill Sr.; sisters-in-law: Pat Hudson, Janet Richardson, Dorothy Furbert, Delores Furbert; special niece: Yvonne [Bonnie] Leccese and numerous nieces/nephews; mother-in-law: the late Kathleen Furbert; special friend: Norjean Douglas. Aretta Furbert was predeceased by in-laws: sisters-in-law: Mildred [Molly] Aubrey, Winifred [Tiny] Smith, Helene Dill; brothers-in-law: Winslow Cox, Wilbur, Maurice, Wilfred, John [Willard], Leonard [Dizzy], Richard Furbert, George Clark, and Danny [Buddy] Ingrouville.
