A Homegoing service for Astoria Ismay Smith [nee Burgess], beloved wife of Carlton Smith, daughter of the late Olive Salina [nee Peniston] and George Burgess, loving mother to Sharon Gibbons [Daymound], Dawnette Haynes, Wenda Williams, the late Cecil ‘Cici’ III and Marvin Williams, brother to Noel [Joy], Antony [Ann] Burgess, Patrick, Howard, Charles and Daniel Hayward, and sisters Dorothy Smith, Georgine Symonds, Gaynelle Williams [Gary], Rose Pace the late George ‘Peter’, Calvin and Elmer Burgess, Yanthe Lee, Dianna Burgess, Leslie Ann Smith, and Melita Olden, in her 74th year of Apt. 2, Cornwall Cottage, Cedar Park, Devonshire, will be held Crawl Gospel Hall, Hamilton Parish, Today, October 28, 2022 at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
There will be no viewing.
Lovingly survived by grandchildren: Geralvonno Williams [Amber], Jahmae Williams, Dajae Nesbitt, Jahmarli Nesbitt, Jana Gibbons and Kiara Gibbons; great-grandchildren: Geralvonno Williams Jr., Sarai Hazelwood, Messiah Wilson, Deshun Dill and Blake Williams; brother-in-law: Michael and Cyril Smith; god-daughters: Tomika Harrell and Leanna Woods; special friends: Bermuda Long Riders, Cecil Williams [father of the children], Gladys Wolffe, Sharon Scott, Pamela Rowland; nieces, nephews and various other relatives and friends.
