It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Eloise Cecilia Smith [nee Simmons], beloved wife of the late Arthur Stanfield Smith, loving mother to Stanfield Smith [Sandra], and caring grandmother to Shalisa Smith. Barbara was the beloved daughter of the late Addison and Muriel Simmons; sister of the late Gloria Wade, Gladstone Simmons, Addison Simmons Jr. and Donald Simmons Sr. She was in her 93rd year of #7 Long Bay Lane, Sandys, MA03.
A homegoing service will be held at St. James Anglican Church, Main Road, Sandys on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 4:00PM. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery.
Left to cherish her memory are: sister: Oriel Butterfield [Dennis], brothers: Llewelyn Simmons and Anthony Durrant [Michelle]; sister-in-law: Betty Smith; nieces: Donna Simmons, Andrea Wade, Denise Mitchell, Deniette McCallan [Byron], Cindy Pearman [Roddy], Dr. Dena Butterfield-Phipps [Bennett], Carol-Ann Simmons, Cheryl Wade and Kimberley Durrant; nephews: Dr. Donald Simmons [Norette], Keith Simmons [Deborah], Andrew Wade, Dr. Llewelyn Simmons, Gladstone Wade, Khamisi Tokunbo, and Nikai Durrant; godchildren: Lavern Dillas, Cindy Pearman, Lita Smith, Lori Gilbert, Laurel Burns, Errin Smith; special friends: Maxine Burns, Valerie Smith, and Patria Simons; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends too numerous to mention.
