A homegoing service for Betty Lucille Virginia John [née Dill], in her 90th year, of Alafia, 12 Verdmont Lane, Smith’s, will be held today, August 9, 2024, at St. Paul AME at 2pm.
Beloved wife of the late Dr. Vincent John, DDS, MBE; loving mother of Vincent John Jr. [Tanya], Lisa Lowery [Charles], Erica John [Luis], and the late Crystal John; sister of the late Lorraine Ingham [the late Clair], Ruby Neale [the late Larry, Col. Ret.], and the late Michael Dill. Grandmother of Jacy, Taj, and Kai Lowery. Aunt of Cheryl Burrows—also goddaughter [Dennis], Tammy Neale [Eric], Desmond Ingham, Wendy Ingham, and Tracey Neale. Great aunt of Nikia Burrows, Jamisen and Trey Taylor, and Emebet and Eyasu Neale. Godmother of the late Jonathan [Jonnie] James.
Visitation will be held at Augustus Funeral Home on Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm and at St. Paul AME, today, August 9, 2024, from 1:00pm to 1:55pm. Interment to follow at St. Johns Cemetery.
