Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Brenda Ismay Hollis [nee Smith].
A private graveside service celebrating the life of Brenda Ismay Hollis [nee Smith], wife of David Hollis, daughter of Prescille Smith, and loving mother to Gladwyn ‘Yusef’ Smith [Nicole] and Jason Hollis [mother of children, Tanisha Stevens], in her 70th year of Harlem Heights, Hamilton Parish [formerly of Friswell’s Hill], will be held at The Holy Trinity Church, Hamilton Parish Today, November 8th, 2021 at 11:00 am.
There will be no viewing.
She is lovingly remembered by her sisters: Albertha Smith, Florence ‘Susie’ Wright [Claude], Roszita ‘Tootsie’ Smith [Devon]; brothers: Gregory, Eugene and Dean Smith; grandchildren: Jahshonte [special grand ’daughter’], Jaya, Jabari, Nazhir, Anaya, Jasai; great grandchild: Keston; special godson/nephew: Robbie; step-children: Charlene, Brandon, Heather, Susie; in-laws: Gloria Hollis, Joy Creighton [Gene], Dora Hollis; special friends: Kathy Woodley, Sharon Furbert, Carolyn Seymour, Sandra Butterfield, former work colleagues of Hermitage House @ MAWI, the Friswell’s Hill Community and many other dear friends and family too numerous to mention.
Brenda was pre-deceased by her brothers: Albert, Larry, David and Steven Smith; in-laws: Sylvia, Alice, Jean, Beryl, Arlene, Philip, DeWilton, Godfrey, Leonard, Oliven, Percy, Gilbert, Rodney.
Covid-19 precautions are to be observed. Mask and hand sanitation will be required and social distancing observed.
