The celebration and promotion to Glory Homegoing service for Mr. Calvin Roosevelt Ming Jr., beloved husband of Juanita Ming of 33 Melville Road, Devonshire will be held on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, at The North Street Citadel Salvation Army Church at 11:00a.m. Internment will follow at the Wesley Methodist Cemetery, Cemetery Road Hamilton. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12th, 2024, from 6:30p.m.-8:00p.m. at The North Street Citadel Salvation Army Church as well as on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, from 10:00 AM-10:45 AM.
Calvin Jr. is lovingly remembered by wife: Juanita, daughters: Carol McDowall [Andrew], Carla Ming-Reese, and son: Calvin Ming III [Tyasha]. Brothers: Melvin Ming [Diana], Larry Robinson, Carlton Ming [Christine], Hollis Williams [Jeanne]. Grandchildren: Andrew Jr., Alaiyah, Caleb, Ayeuri, Grant, Iyah, Iyen, Iyair. Great granddaughter: Nylai, sisters-in-law: Ismay Tucker, Joan Ming, Judy Mouchette, Marionette Furbert [Dudley], Sharon Hunt, Dorethea Grant [Kevin]. Brothers-in-law: Eric Whitter, Albert Tucker [Gloria], Cleveland Tucker, Michael Tucker, Edward Tucker [Carlene]. Goddaughters: Da’Shawn Doars and Jerilynne Ming. Godsons: Lamohn Smith and Calvin E. Ming. Special goddaughters: Adrianne Mouchette & Danielle Bulloch. Special cousins: Leon Amis [Rudell], Karen Dill, Karen Belboda, Sandra Spanswick, Celeste Johnson, and Earl Ming. The Salvation Army family and the Bermuda Government family. He also leaves nieces and nephews, other relatives, and a host of special friends in Bermuda and overseas to numerous to mention.
Cal is also predeceased by his sister: Pat Whitter, brothers-in-law: Quinton Ming, Alma Hunt, Leroy Tucker; and sister-in-law: Georgine Tucker.
