Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the death of Carl Leroy Simmons [Carlie], son of the late Ambrose Simmons and the late Myrtle Burrows [nee Simmons], father of Carla Simmons, Stacey Simmons and Carl [CJ] Simmons-Albouy and brother to Allister Simmons in his 83rd year of 125 North Shore Road, Pembroke East will be held on Saturday, May 9th at St John’s Anglican Church at 2:00 pm. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, May 8th at Augustus Funeral Home from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Carl Simmons was cherished by grandchildren: Maurico Simmons, Tashay Simmons and Sage Simmons-Albouy; fondly remembered by his brother-in-law: Stanley Thompson; sister-in-law: Carmen Simmons; nieces: Eulene Jones, Dawn Thompson, Tonia Symons; nephews: Curtis Simmons, Kevin Simmons, Ricky Thompson and Dwayne Jones; cousins: Rev Wendell and Newvilla Dill, Sherwin, Garrett, Sonia and Parks Dill, Dawnie Smith, Charmaine and Maxwell Dill Jr., Pat Hall, Charles and Veronica Fubler, Viola Robinson, Wellington and Karen Dill, Colleen Dill, The Cholmondeley, Simmons families; special friends and associations: Maurice Bremar, Charles Hartfort, Butch Paynter, Mr. Bean, The Leopards Club, Young Men’s Social Club, BPSU, PTB Staff, The Breakfast Club, Lefroy House Care Community and Staff. Carl also leaves to cherish his memory a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, friends, and other loved ones too numerous to mention.
