It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carmen V. Jeffers.
Carmen was our dearly loved mother, mother-in-law, nan, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be missed by her loving family and close friends.
We will be celebrating Carmen’s life on what would have been her 81st birthday, Sunday, October 20th at 3 p.m. at First Church of God North Shore. Interment to follow at Wesley Methodist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Augustus Funeral Home on Saturday, October 19th from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Lovingly remembered by her son, Charles H. Jeffers II [Antoinette]; grandchildren, Courtney Jeffers and Arrington Jeffers; sisters, Sylvia Rita Cohen, Brenda Lister, Deborah Ingham [Erville], and Valarie Bassett [Millard [Cab]]; nieces, Kim Moore [Edward], Danielle Cohen Scott [Brett], and Allison Bassett; nephew, Terjuan Lister; and a host of other family members and friends. Carmen was predeceased by her mother, Edith Lister; her father, Wilbur Lister; and her sister, Wanda Lister.
