Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Charles Eric [Sonny] Charves.
A home going ceremony for Charles Eric [Sonny] Charves, beloved husband to the late Violet [Vi] Charves [Easton], loving father of Charlene Charves and the late Charles E. Charves Jr., son of the late Eric and Pearl [James] Charves, in his 97th year of 102 South Road, Smith’s, will be held today, 21st March at 2:00 pm at St. Mark’s Church.
There will be no viewing. Interment will follow at St. Mark’s Church Cemetery Smith’s Parish.
He is lovingly remembered by grandchildren: Erica Charves Paterson [Cornell], Tyrese Charves; adopted grandchildren: Terry, Tjada, Ganzy West, Joe Matthews, Marcus Astwood; great grandson: Jordan Paterson; daughter-in-law: Maurice Charves; brother: Vincent Chaves; brothers-in-law: Stuart Easton, Carl [Mickey] Hutchins, Johnnie Marshall; sister-in-law: Marie Chaves; godson: Seth Landy; goddaughter: Marlene James; special friends: Albert Steede, Willoughby Harvey, The Astwood Family, The Jones Family, The Darrell Families, Bristol Davidson, St. Mark’s Church Family, Stevedoring Services Family, Warwick Lanes Family, Grave Rejuvenation Center Family, North Star Dementia Ltd., and many nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.
He was predeceased by sisters: Eula Trott, Pearl [Nilla] Easton, Edith [Fan] Charves; brother: Donald Charves.
