A Homegoing celebrating the life of Claudette Eurina Vassell (nee Smith) of Sun Valley, Warwick in her 84th year, born February 13, 1943, oldest daughter of the late Elsie E. Smith nee Francis and the late Forman M. Smith, loving mother of Michael Lloyd Anthony Vassell (Lanette) and Odiva Eurina Vassell; sister to Keith Smith (Maria), Cleveland Smith, Beverley Williams (Eric) and the late Judith Darrell; adoring grandmother to Mickyle and Marcus Vassell; aunt to Winslow and Yolanda Darrell, Amin and Shani Smith (Elizabeth, mother of children), Shalynn Smith, Denise Dale, Yannis and Kyle Williams, Damani and Sundai Smith; great aunt to Massassi Smith, Olivia and Judah Dale; Godmother to Wayne Smith and Verlina Bishop. Nurse Vassell was well known in the community for her many acts of kindness, her faith and being a listening ear to all.
Also celebrating that their lives were touched by her are numerous cousins, other relatives, nursing colleagues and friends worldwide. The family wish to express their profound gratitude to all for their support at this difficult time and to the medical professionals involved in her care and wellbeing.
Upon her wishes, a Graveside Service was held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Cemetery, 69 Middle Road, Paget on Thursday 10th September 2026.
