Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of: – Mr. David McDonald “Lopes” Smith, in his 68th year, of 63 Middle Road Smiths. David was the loving husband to Taja Smith, father to Juanita Coley [Keith] and David Fox; grandfather to Anyssa and Andre Coley. A memorial service will be held at The Whitney Institute Middle School Hall, Today, May 11, 2024, at 4:00 pm. There will be no viewing.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to P.A.L.S. Cancer Care. David was predeceased by his parents: Austin and Marian Smith and by his brother: Michael. He will be remembered by his surviving siblings: Austin Jr., Joane Vidale, Veronica Stovell [Eugene], Hilton [Mary], Sheila, Benjamin, Marjorie Whorms and Jonathan; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. The family would like to give special thanks to Nurse Rosa Ward, Dr. Hannah Murray, Dr. Sharon Alikhani and the entire P.A.L.S. Team, Dr. Racquel Smith, Pastor Dwayne Simons, Mr. Richard Scott, Ms. Rasheema Swan, Mr. Cal Burgess and the entire Whitney Institute Faculty and staff.
