Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Mrs. Delmar Shirley May Smith nee Gibbons.
A Home Going service for Mrs. Delmar Shirley May Smith nee Gibbons, beloved wife of the late Earlston Smith, daughter to the late Alfred and Helena Gibbons, loving and caring mother to Florette Nash, David and Noel Gibbons, and the late Alice Marie Gibbons, sister to Frances ‘Fanny’ Hall, the late Lionel and Albert Philpott, Leroy Gibbons, Phyllis Outerbridge, Emily Enos and Mary Ann Marshall, in her 83rd year of 6 Limehouse Lane, Hamilton Parish will be held at The Bailey’s Bay, Cricket Club Field, Today, October 20, 2018 at 3:00 pm.
Interment will follow the service at The Holy Trinity Cemetery.
There will be no viewing.
Lovingly remembered by her grand-daughters: Shelita, Davita, Tawana [Casey], Greshona and Daitona; grandsons: Shawn, Tyrese and Charye; great-grandchildren: Kristin, Dylan, Milan, Salair and Patrick; great great-grandchild: Kree; son-in-law: Caldric Nash; daughter-in-law: Marilyn Gibbons; sisters-in-law: Henrietta Gibbons and Ruth Philpott; brother-in-law: Charles Marshall; god children: Denise Rawlins and Paula Caisey, Michelley Walker; special nieces: Beverly Marshall, Pamela Douglas and Caroline Burgess, also numerous other nieces and nephews; special friends: Albertha Outerbridge, Mary Smith, Jacqueline Outerbridge, Margaret Gibbons, Lois Baker, Albert and Margaret Donawa, Ken Pitcher, the Bailey Family, St. John AME Church Family, the PALS Family, Dorothy Crane Nursing Home and her Smith Cricket Posse. Far too many friends made along the path here and aboard.
Delmar Smith was predeceased by her siblings: Lionel and Albert Philpott, Leroy Gibbons, Phyllis Outerbridge, Emily Enos and Maryann Marshall; grand-daughter: Regina Nicole Gibbons.
