A service celebrating the life of Diane (Dowling) Akinmola, beloved mother to Troy Smith (deceased), Shawnette and Patrice Smith (Kenneth); beloved sister to Ruby, Kelvin, Lynda, Larry (Leeann), Valerie, Gladwin (Pamela) and Laverne; special sisters; Judy (deceased) (John) and Sandra of #47 Sound View Road, Sandy’s, MA06 will be held at St. James Church Somerset, on Friday, October 9th, 2026, 11:00 a.m. The interment will follow in St. James Cemetery.
Viewing: Thursday evening October 8th, 2026 at Amis Memorial Chapel #8 Khyber Pass, Warwick from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. only.
Also surviving are grandchildren: Devin(Kelly),Damien (Shariykah), Sherika(Nick), Dishon Sr., Shakilla (Jason) and Patrick ;great grandchildren: Destyn ,Dishon Jr.,Gianni , Jahnuri, Shaquil, Aribella, Jahzai and Krue; nieces: Darynda (Dennis) ,Nakeita, Safa ;special niece; Makeba(Kevin) nephews; Darrin, Terry, Dwayne, Michael, Gamiel (Lynae),and Meko (Josilene), special nephew; DeVon (Mia), special cousins; Gail and Virginia (Annie), special friends; Edith, May and Cynthia, godchildren; Dawn and Lorna, brother- in-law; Gerald, sister- in-law; Geraldine, and many other relatives and friends to numerous to mention.
