AMIS Memorial Chapel regrets announcing the passing of Dorothy Gwenith Fubler (nee Stovell) of Middle Road, Sandys, daughter of the late Albert and Hagar Stovell, in her 99th year. Lovingly survived by her children Eugene Stovell (Veronica), Carmelita Ingham (Delano), Joann Francis Smith (Alvin), Brian (Fred) Fubler (Angela), and predeceased by son, Kenneth (Secret) Stovell; Siblings Wilfred Stovell, May White, Elsie Viera, and Dennis Stovell.
Survived by her grandchildren Jason Stovell, Jennifer Stovell, Patrick Ingham (Lara), Karla Whitter (Dwayne), Britanni Butterworth (Phil), Brian Fubler Jr., and great-grandchildren Shayna Ingham, Mickel Ingham, Jasmine Markham Stovell, Leo and Cole Butterworth, Seralyn Stovell.
Nieces Diane Hill (Waymond), Thelma Weller (Conrad, deceased); nephews Wilfred (Debbie), Daniel, Vaughn and Herbert Stovell (Debbie). Dear friends, The Furbert Family, The Cann Family and Ingham Family, Helen Baxter, Joanne Morris, Lois Outerbridge, Yolanda Smith.
A memorial service will be held at the Salvation Army North Street on Saturday, July 4th, 2026, at 2.00 pm.
The family of the late Dorothy Fubler wishes to give special thanks to the following people and organizations: Andrea Cann for her compassionate support during our Mom’s short hospitalization. Staff of King Edward Memorial Hospital and KEMH Ambulance crews.
