Dr. William ‘Bill’ Richard Cooke

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dr. William ‘Bill’ Richard Cooke, of Paget, in his 98th year.
‘Bill’ was predeceased by his beloved wife Anne, and leaves to grieve his two children, Kathryn [Chris] and Jim [Jeff], his granddaughters Alison [Dan] and Amy [Nick], and two great grandchildren, Rudi and Maisie.
‘Bill’ was also predeceased by his siblings Francis, Helen, John, Walter, and Stephen, and is survived by his siblings Robert, George, and Judy, and sisters-in-law Josephine, Mingo, Carolyn, and brother-in-law Henry Godfrey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
‘Bill’ was well-known as a physician in Bermuda, having obtained his medical degree at McGill University, Montreal. He filled his days in retirement indulging his interest in Bermuda and her history at the Bermuda Maritime Museum [now the National Museum of Bermuda]. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date.
