AMIS Memorial Chapel regret to announce the passing of Edward Sinclair Douglas aka [Papa Joe] in his 78th year, of 14 Lightbourne Lane Smith’s Parish, Son of the late Henry Adams and the late Gwendolyn Samuels [nee Douglas].
He is survived by his loving wife June Marie Douglas; daughters: Leann Matthews [Jamie] Leotta and Lecole Richardso; grandchildren: Lejaun, Jadaun and Kiara Matthews, Kevin and Elijah Richardson; great-grandchildren: Kyrie Smith and Kayza Minors; brother Steven Samuels, sister Harriett Douglas, stepbrother Dennis Samuels; nephews: Elliott and Kevin Douglas, Levin and Lamar Samuels; nieces: Leonette Anderson [Percey], Sheire Leslie-Joell and Tracy Dorman; Special friends include: Michael Raynor [Diana], Patricia Morgan, Mahlon Smith, Cecil Whitecross, William Steed, the Ocean View Club family, Hill Boys family along with many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Douglas, and his stepfather, Sam Samuels.
The Funeral Service for will be held on Tuesday, 2 June 2026 at Christ Anglican Church, Devonshire at 11:00 am. The interment will follow the service in Christ Anglican Church Cemetery, Devonshire.
Visitation will be held at AMIS Memorial Chapel, Khyber Pass, Warwick on Monday, 1 June 2026, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm and at T.N. Nisbett Hall, Christ Anglican Church, Devonshire on Tuesday, 2 June 2026 from 10:00am to 10:50am.
