A funeral service celebrating the life of Ephraim James Simmons, beloved husband of the late Wilber [Sis] Ernestine Simmons [nee Simons], son of the late Marion Pauline Simmons [nee Lister] and the late Walter Randolph Sachel Simmons beloved father of Dr. J. A. Kent Simmons [Hon. Kim Wilson JPMP] and Beth Jewel Holdipp [Steven], in his 98th year, of “Cavello House”, 1 Magnolia Court Sandys and formerly of “Whale View”, 23 Lighthouse Road, Southampton, will be held at White Hill Gospel Chapel, 1 George’s Bay Road Sandys on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Interment to follow the service at St Mary’s Church, Middle Road Warwick.
Visitation: Relatives and friends may pay their respects at White Hill Gospel Chapel, 1 George’s Bay Road Sandys from 1;00 to 1:55 pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
Ephraim is also survived by his grandchildren: Stefan Holdipp, Alexa Dammar [Robert], Niara Simmons, Kent Simmons Jr, and great-grandson Champion Dammar; Sister-in-law: Joan Simons [late Raymond]; Nieces: late June-Ann Lambert [Elwood]; Rozmond Rawlins [late Lawrence], Equilla Rawlins [late Charles], Carol Stoneham [late Marshall], Lillian Grant [late Louie], Debra Paynter [Richard], Linda-Lee Smith [Evan], Rochelle Gibbons [late Gerald], Unity Marquis, Glorita Hayward [Quinton], Valerie Francis [Earl], Stephanie Cameron [late Conte], Jonelle Christopher [Kevin]; Nephews: Leon James [Judy], Elvin James, Cornell Simons [Marjorie], Norbert Seymour [Noleen], Stephen Dears [Kandra] Joseph Simmons [Susan], Jonathan Stone [Connie] and Dwight Stone; Special Great Nieces and Nephews: Lauren Rawlins, Lisa Wade [late Kim], Ian Rawlins, Blake Lambert [Sasha], Renee Fox [Antoine], and numerous other relatives and friends both here in Bermuda and abroad.
Ephraim was predeceased by his siblings: Ruth Dears, Samuel Simmons, Grace Seymour, Joseph Simmons, John Simmons and Pearl Stone.
