Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Mr. George Eric Furbert.
A celebration of life service for Mr. George Eric (“Peaches, Richman, Poppie”) Furbert, beloved husband of 45 years to the late Paula Loretta Furbert, precious son of the late Rosalie Furbert Williams and the late George E. Belboda Sr., loving father to daughters Erica Smith (Trevor), Thea Furbert, and Stacy Hill (Troy), devoted grandfather to Cirè Furbert- Lambert, Tristan Hill, and Zaria Hill, in his 79th year, of 17 Coral Hill Lane, Warwick, will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, Pembroke on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow at Pembroke Parish Cemetery, Pembroke.
Relatives and friends may pay their final respects at Augustus Funeral Home tonight, Thursday, June 18th, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
The family kindly asks for colours to be worn for the celebration of Eric’s vibrant life. In place of flowers, donations can be made at P.A.L.S. Bermuda Cancer Care and Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre in Eric’s name.
He is survived by Siblings Berlene Furbert-Smith (Vagunel), Renee, Burlington “Mackie” and Carlington “Reid” Furbert, as well as Bernadette Belboda (Dennis), St Cecilia James, Floretta Davis, Glendora Pearman (Franklyn), Michael Belboda (Christine), and Glenn Belboda (Tracey); Brother-in-law Johnny Mills; Sister-in-law Marlene Mills; extensive Furbert, Mills, and Belboda families’ nieces, nephews, cousins, great and great-great nieces and nephews; Goddaughter Stacie Robinson; “Adopted” daughters Donna Robinson, Carla Zuill-Ikonwa, Emma Stowe, and Sakena Wall; Special friends Ivan Robinson, Charlene and Dane Brown, Frances Furbert, and McClaire Mills; Friends at Warwick Workmen’s Club, Warwick United Cricket and Softball Teams; D&J Construction Ltd.; Tomorrow’s Voices Autism Centre; and many family and friends, local and overseas, too numerous to mention. Eric was predeceased by his siblings Lloyd Furbert; Marionette Richardson; Vincent, George, Gregory and Aaron Belboda.
