A celebration of life service for Mr. George Maxwell Courtney, son of Sylvia Courtney [nee Lightbourn] and the late George Maxwell Courtney Sr., will be held at the Vernon Temple A.M.E. Church Southampton on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 11.00am. Interment to follow at St Annes Cemetery Southampton.
A viewing will be held on Monday June 30, 2025, from 6.00 pm until 7.30pm at the Amis Memorial Chapel, Khyber Pass Warwick. George leaves to mourn his beloved mother Sylvia Courtney, brother Russell [Carolyn] Courtney, aunts; Rosetta Walwyn and Enid Simmons, uncle Calvin Lightbourn, nephews; Tacole Courtney, Rakil Courtney and Jermal Proctor, niece Stacy Benjamin. George leaves to mourn and cherish his memory a host of other relatives and friends. George was predeceased by his father George Maxwell Courtney Sr, brother Steven Proctor, uncles; Gordan and Raymond Courtney, and Edwin, Gladstone, Dilton Lightbourn, aunts; Dorothy Courtney Metz and Vanetta Lightbourn.
