Gwendolyn Louise Brunson
[AMIS Memorial Chapel & Crematory]
A celebration of life for Gwendolyn Louise Brunson [nee Ryan], daughter of the late Laurel Ryan and Olive Ryan [nee Brangman], in her 98th year, of #6 Westdale Lane, Southampton, will be held at Vernon Temple AME Church, at #6 Hawthorn Lane, Southampton on Saturday, May 25th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. The interment will follow at St. Anne’s Church Cemetery, Southampton.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, at Amis Memorial Chapel, Khyber Pass, Warwick from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. only.
Gwen, the beloved wife of the late Fred Brunson Sr., their union was blessed with 7 children: Dawn Fubler [nee Brunson], Ryan Brunson Sr., Fred Brunson Jr. Iola Brunson-Rocker, Jon Brunson, Ian Brunson, and David Brunson; 17 grandchildren: Rochelle Holland [nee Fubler], Elliott Fubler Jr. [deceased], Ryan Brunson Jr. [deceased], Sharai Brunson, Khaleel Brunson, Denika Brunson, Frederica Brunson, William Brunson, Tina Smith-Collins, Nicole Crumpler [nee Brunson], Anthony Rocker Jr., Jasmine Brunson, Kyle Brunson, La’Toyia Raynor [nee Brunson], David Brunson Jr., Ja-Dee Brunson-Young, Jhae-a Brunson-Young. Gwen also leaves to cherish her legacy 22 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Gwen’s memory will be cherished by countless friends and family, each of whose lives she touched deeply and far too many names to mention.
The family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Benjamin Lau, King Edward Memorial Hospital, the caregiving team, her godchildren: Julie Kay Darrell and Ivan Bean, Eunice Lambert, Kathydell Hayward-Ming, Hamas Edward Hasim, ad Joel Hunter.
