Augustus Funeral Home wishes to announce the passing of Helen Marie Furbert [nee Muller], of Claytown, Hamilton Parish, formerly of New York City, beloved wife of Dean Furbert in her 86th year. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Muller, sister of Elaine Muller and Margery Gooding [nee Muller]; sister-in-law of the late Randolph Furbert [Gail], the late Gloria Sibley [the late Vernon Sibley], Ivena Laurenceo [Donaldo Laurenceo], Francis Furbert [the late Annette Furbert], the late Loren “Chick” Furbert [the late Violet Furbert], the late Charlotte Ming [Frederick Ming], Beulah Armstrong, Beverley Mingo, the late David Furbert [Anita Furbert] and Andre Furbert [Myrtus]. Mother of Gillian Dillard [Michael], Jennifer Libert [Pedro] and Joseph Furbert [Rusheika].
Grandmother of Michael Dillard jr, Amiel Dillard; Julia Libert, Andrew Libert; Micaiah Furbert, Eli Furbert, Eden Furbert, Marcus Furbert, Isaiah Furbert. First cousin of the family of the late Gladstone and Marie Fleming and the late Bertie Furbert. Aunt of several nieces and nephews, and a beloved friend to many in Bermuda and abroad.
A homegoing service for Helen Marie Furbert, will be held at Crawl Gospel Hall, Hamilton Parish, Saturday, October 26, at 2pm. Viewing at Crawl Gospel Hall, Friday, October 25, 6-8pm and Saturday, October 26,1pm – 1:50pm.
Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hamilton Parish. Her memory will be cherished by her family, the church at Crawl Gospel Hall, the Brethren Churches of Bermuda, Mubende Mission in Zambia, teaching colleagues and many friends.
