Inez Dorothy Furbert

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Inez Dorothy Furbert nee Steede, in her 88th year of #3 Clouds Avenue, Warwick, wife of the late Wilbur Furbert, daughter of the late Eric and Dorothy Steede nee Burgess; loving mother to Michael Furbert [Rhonda], Shirleen Spencer [Dennis], Wilfred Jimmy Furbert [Dornelle] and Edward Fox.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, 26th November 2022 at St. John’s AME Church, Wilkinson Ave., Hamilton Parish at 2:00pm. A visitation will be held prior to the service at St. John’s AME Church from 1:00 pm.
Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Secretary Road, St. George.
Beloved grandmother to Dennessa Spencer, Michelle and Ron Furbert, Shirrea Spencer, Zakiya Furbert, Raleigh Chasty-Fox, Rashida and Kamila Bean; great grandchildren Cayden Spencer, Zhen Wilson, Re-Mai Spencer, Khumi Mayho, River Furbert, Kiara Burcher, Diaz Steede, Royal Jones, Kenzie Simmons and Majesty Jones. Inez was predeceased by all her siblings and sister-in-laws the late Leroy Burgess, Quinton Steede, Harold Steede [Ismay], Howard Steede [Louise], Eunice Gibbons nee Steede [Frederick], Olivia Steede, Joseph Steede & Reginald Steede. Surviving brothers-in-laws Maurice, Llewellyn, Greame [Roslyn], Charles and Ross Furbert; Sisters-in-law Patricia Hudson, Janet Richardson, Helene Dill [Robert], Arretta and Delores Furbert; Nieces: Marilyn Butterfield, Frederica Lambert [Vance], Jennifer [Susie] Steede, Mary Helen Trott [Paul]; Nephews: Leroy Burgess deceased [Helen], Reginald Burgess [Shirley], Frederick Jr. Gibbons [Cynthia], Wilfred Gibbons [Debrina]. Godson Patrick Bean, God daughter Kim Butterfield [deceased]. Special friends Albena Bean, Catherine Blakeney, Jeannette Augustus, Marie Binns, Helen Bailey, Dorothy Caisey.
