Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Janet [Penny] Cook.

A home-going service for Mrs. Janet Cook, beloved wife of George Cook Sr, daughter of the late Edmund James and Barbara Winifred Amelia Lightbourne, loving mother to Monique and George Cook, sister to Edmund J. Lightbourne [Monique], predeceased siblings: Pamela Saltus-Smith, Deborah Anne Tannock, Patricia Lightbourne, and Paula Lightbourne-Johnson, niece of Audrey Kipps in her 67th year of 59 Texas Rd, St. Davids DD 01.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, 28th September 2024 at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Middle Road Paget at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow immediately after the service at St Paul’s Cemetery Paget.

The visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, 26th September, 2024 at Augustus Funeral Home, Ewing Street Hamilton from 6.30 – 8.00pm.

Penny leaves to mourn her loving husband George Cook, daughter Monique Cook, son George Cook Jr [Kayla], grandchildren Eniya, George III, and George IV, brother Edmund Lightbourne [Monique], aunt Audrey Kipps, nieces: Donna Saltus, Barbara Tannock, nephews: Wilbur Smith, Annon Smith, Raymond Tannock Jr, Christopher Tannock, and Thomas Lightbourne. Great nieces and nephews: Ceblle, Walde, Ricky, Tianna, Tikeire, Travon, Treasure, Jada, Riley, Josiah, Mathias, Simeon, Alaya, Amir, and many other family members to numerous to mention. Special friends Sherry Talbot, Maie Trott, Sharon Scott, Cheryl Swan, Joanne Tucker, The Matilda Smith Williams Family, and the Serenity Palms Family.

Penny was predeceased by her mother Barbara Winifred Lightbourne [Saltus], father Edmund James Lightbourne Sr, sisters Pamela Saltus-Smith, Paula Lightbourne-Johnson, Deborah Anne Tannock, and Patricia Lightbourne, nieces: Damonique Saltus, Dawn Mallory, nephews: Michael Saltus, EJ Lightbourne, and Jason Lightbourne.
