Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of John Thomas Simmons.
Services celebrating the life of John Thomas Simmons, beloved husband of the late Dorothy Ismay Vivienne Simmons [nee Guishard], son of Marion Pauline Simmons [nee Lister] and Walter Sachel Randolph Simmons; beloved father of Valerie Francis [Earl], Stephanie Cameron [Contee] and Jonelle Christopher [Kevin], and loving husband to the late Joan Adele Dilworth Simons, in his 93rd year, of #2 Ratteray Lane, Sandys.
Funeral services will be held at St James Church, Sandys on Sunday, 26th March at 3:00pm with interment to follow the service at St James Church Cemetery, Sandys.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at the viewing, held at White Hill Gospel Chapel, 1 George’s Bay Road, Sandys, Today, 25th March 2023 from 6:30pm – 8:00pm and Sunday, 26th March 2023 from 1:30pm – 2:30pm.
John is also survived by grandchildren Contee Cameron III, Kayla Christopher, Kyle Christopher and Jasmine Cameron, brother, Ephraim Simmons, sisters in law, Phyllis Basden, Ianthe Fox Tucker, Rosamund Daniels [Arnold], Anne Guishard; brother in law, Edward Richardson; nieces, Unity Marquis, Glorita Hayward [Quinton], Beth Jewel Holdipp [Steven], Lynda Augustus [Gladstone], Belinda Harris [Edward], Carol Daniels, Paula Daniels, Laverne Daniels, Vanessa Gaiton [Cleun]; nephews, Norbert Seymour [Noelene], Dr Kent Simmons [Hon Kim Wilson], Stephen Dears [Kandra], Joseph Simmons [Susan], Jonathan Stone [Connie] and Dwight Stone, James Guishard [Calvina], Jonathan Guishard, Paul Richardson [Karyn], Steven Richardson [Marjorie], Anthony Fox [Maureen], Larry Fox [Lisa], David Fox, Sheldon Fox [Euanne], Dr Mark Guishard [Helen], Arnold Daniels Jr. and numerous other relatives and friends both here in Bermuda and abroad.
John is predeceased by his special aunt, Edith Lister, brothers and sisters, Samuel Simmons, Ruth Simmons, Grace Simmons, Joseph Simmons, and Pearl Marion Simmons. Brothers and Sisters in law: Bertram Guishard [Betty], Arthur Guishard [Gracelyn], Phillip Guishard, Marjorie Richardson, William Basden, Ledrew Fox, Hewitt ‘Bobby” Tucker, niece and nephew; Beverly Smith and Michael Fox.
