Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of: – Leon Wycliffe ‘Sparky’ Place.
The Place family are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Leon Wycliffe ‘ Sparky’ Place of # 5 Poinciana Road, Devonshire. Funeral arrangements have been made for Saturday March 16, 2024, at 11am at New Testament Church of God, Heritage Worship Centre.
Interment will follow at Wesley Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Augustus Funeral Home, Friday, March 15, 2024, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
Leon was the third eldest child of the late Mr Reginald ‘Scranny” & Mrs Mabel Place [nee Seymour] Leon leaves behind seven children: Leon, Andre and Antwanette Place. Dwayne Trott, Delmair Trott, Denton Trott; and Tucoma Robinson. Brother to Calvin, Andre & Kevin Place, and extended family members: special sister – Pattiann Chapman, Gary Gibbons; Curtis Trott. Brother to the late Dennis Reginald, Gregory and Vincent Place. Mrs. Gait Clark and Charlene Place. Uncle to the late: Stephen Chicken’ Symons and Gregory Wainwright. Grandsons: Leoshawan Place, Aaron Place, & Toran Place, Denton Trott Jr De’aire Trott, Cody Robinson, Malachi Trott [UK], Tis Shaun Trott [UK], Ke Yaunte Trott [UK] and Messiah Trott (UK). Granddaughters: Shawnzyah Place and Taiya Place, Chevonne Hodsoll, Helena Trott, Xylience Smith, Delshante Trott [UK] and Delsani Trott [UK].
Brother-in-law: Allan Clark. Sisters-in-Law: Nadine, Donna and Mekeba Place. Other in-laws: Pearline Place. Stepmother: Ettie Place. Leon also leaves behind: 34 great & great-great nephews, 45 great & great-great nieces, and numerous other relatives and friends.
