We regret to announce the passing of Maria da Estrela Veloso, beloved wife of the late Joao Veloso, daughter of the late Francisco de Medeiros Tore’ and the late Maria dos Santos Amaro of # 6 Aerial View Lane, Devonshire FL 06.
A Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Maria da Estrela Veloso, beloved wife of the late Joao Manuel Veloso, cherished mother of Ana [Norberto] Medeiros, Carlos Veloso and Elizabeth [John] Furtado, of Devonshire Parish, will be held at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, South Road, Smith’s Parish, on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. The Rosary will be said at the Church at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Holy Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Robert’s Avenue, Devonshire. There will be no viewing.
She is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Bianca, Gabriella, Tyler, Julia, Hailey and Nicholas; sibling: Manuel Pacheco; nephew/godson Valter; other relatives, numerous friends both here and abroad. Special mention to caregivers Caro Peterson and Roselle Opena.
She was predeceased by her grandson Jeffrey.
