Amis Memorial Chapel and Crematory regrets to announce the passing of Millard Overstone Reid ‘Shinah’ Simons, in his 95th year, of #1a Bob’s Valley Road, Sandys. Beloved husband of the late Alma Jeanetta Simons; father of Edmund “Shinah” Simons, Maralyn Wales [Steve], Leonard “Shinah” Simons [Michelle], Harold Simons, the late Claudette Rasheed, Beverley Johnson, Marlene Furbert, Michael E. Smith and McCarrol Simons.
A celebration of life of the late Millard Overstone Reid ‘Shinah’ Simons, beloved husband of the late Alma Jeanetta Simons, in his 95th year of Sandys Parish, will be held at St. James Church, Sandys on Wednesday November 8, 2023, at 3:00pm. Internment will follow the service in St. James Cemetry.
He is survived by children: Edmund ‘Shinah’ Simons, Maralyn Wales [Steve], Leonard “Shinah” Simons [Michelle], Harold Simons; sister-in-law: Rosa Simons; grandchildren: Selena Dawson [Dane], Dorian Tuzo [Stacey], Lakinya Tuzo, Carolann Jackson, Alvon Maybury, Lewellyn Simons, Stevonna Wales, Steve Perinchief, Leanda Blackman-St. John, Milen Simons, Lakeisha Porteous [Godfrey], Jamee Jones [Laroy], Jessica Knight; 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grand-children; nieces, nephews, cousins, god-children and friends too many to mention.
