Hon. Ottiwell Askew Simmons JP, 25th June 1933 – 16th June 2023. The son of Olaf and Audrey [nee Tucker] Simmons and loving father of son, Ottiwell Jr., daughter Emma Williams [Judson], and the late Clarke Simmons. Brother of Sharon Bean [Winston], Quinn [Sherridan] Talbot and Gregory Talbot, the late Clayton, Wendall [Cock-A-Doodle], Janet, Bazil, Irven, and Cordell Simmons
Visitation will be held at Victor Scott School on Saturday June 24, 2023 from 6 pm to 7:30. Tributes and words of commendations will start promptly at 7:30pm to 8:30pm. On Sunday, June 25, 2023, there will be viewing at the BIU Headquarters from 1pm to 2:30pm. The service celebrating the accomplishments of Hon. Ottiwell Simmons, JP will be held St Paul AME on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 3pm
Lovingly survived by his grandchildren Zina Adjei, Diionne Murch [Dan], Kiwhana Brown [Jason], Leah and David Battersbee, Schavonne Stowe, Melatyah baht Israel, Amram ben Israel, Shaddai Williams, Helatyah baht Israel, Serene and Szaine Williams; great-grandchildren Dwaysha and Zinaya Adjei, Isabelle and Anna Murch, De’ Vonne Adjei, Shamir Battersbee, Olivia Murch, Zalika Adjei, Son’Ja, Keniyah, Jason Brown, Orpaz baht Isarel, and Kiahnna Brown; great-great-grandchildren Zaylee Anna and Zaccai Adjei, De’ Lahnae Davis Adjei; siblings Sharon Bean [Winston], Quinn [Sherridan] Talbot, and Gregory Talbot. Predeceased by grandson Michael Battersbee.
