A Homegoing service for Richard Joseph [Jap] Kelland Retired Taxi Operator T1093, beloved husband to Glenda R. Kelland nee Talbot; son of the late Henry and Alice Kelland [nee] Simons, father to Rosalind Richardson [Joseph], god-father to Beverley Richardson [Caregiver], uncle to Monique Amos [Caregiver], in his 92nd year of Kon Tiki, 29 Green Acres Road, Devonshire, will be held at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Today, August 25 at 2 pm.
Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Bethel AME Church, Today, August 25 from 1 – 1:55pm.
Survived by granddaughter: Kaila Richardson; great grandson: Kion Richardson; niece: Rose-Anna Smith; great nieces: Jovanna Douglas, Kristen Kelland, Andrianna Smith; great nephews: Sinclair and Denzel Amos, Steven Douglas, Jordan Smith; father-in-law and mother-in-law: the late Henry A and Lillian G Talbot; sisters-in-law: Gladys Romney [Edgar], Jaqueline Robinson, the late Winnie Darrell [Earl] and brother-in-law: the late Henry Talbot Sr. [Eunice]; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, god children and friends; special friends: Samuel Johansen, Jay Simmons, Vernon Bridgewater, Delroy O’Brien, Ivan Place, Roddy Nesbitt, Kirk Dill, Delton Outerbridge, Calvin ‘Bummy’ Symonds Sr., Warren ‘Mickey’ Foggo, the late Donald Richardson, Hubbie Rodgers, Freeman Trott and Leon ‘Spider’ Blakeney.
