Robert Patterson

We regret to announce the death of Robert Patterson, dearly beloved husband of Helle Patterson; father of Maia Patterson McGuire Mihlebach [Wayne] and grandfather of George Patrick McGuire [Heaven Lee].
Bob died peacefully at his home in Fractious Street, the last of the four sons of Robert Welford Patterson and Irene Clough Patterson born in Stanley County, Durham, England.
He is lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Elsie Patterson, her daughter Coral Waddell and husband John Waddell, and their sons Nicholas [Jessica] and James [Aiko], and special friends Ron Stevens, Andre Hubbard, and Larry Samuels. He also leaves a large community of nephews, nieces, and families in England. In Bermuda Bob is remembered affectionately by students from St. George’s Grammer School [1959-64] and Warwick Academy [1964-71], having taught Art, P.E., and Woodwork. 1971-96 he ran his cabinetmaking business Woodart, making beautiful furniture found in many homes, Government House, and Camden.
According to his specific wishes, Bob received a private funeral.
