Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Rudolph Edwin Lawrence, in his 94th year. Dearly beloved husband of Greta Lawrence, née Adams; son of the late Eldon Wainwright and Imogene Lawrence; loving father of Euleen Furbert [Ralph], Kanhai Lawrence [Naomi], Gary Lawrence [Marcelle], Lionel “Eddie” Paul, Dennis “Bo” Paul, and Marie Paul.
He was the dear brother of Enid Whitter [the late Harley], the late Marvin Lawrence [Gwendolyn], the late Freida Nusum [Sheridan], Judith Lawrence, Dawn “Candy” Desilva [Carlos], and the late Clifford Weldon [Marjorie]. Brother-in-love to Janice Wright, the late Barbara Cox-Tucker, Sandra Belboda, Claudette Adams [Robert], Linda Martinez [James] and Derek Adams [Crisetta].
Beloved grandfather of Jevon Lawrence [Kim], Raneek Furbert, Brittany Eversley, Garynae and Kinae Dowling and Mareiko Paul.
He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
There will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, 2 May 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church.
