Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Ruth Vaille Sidonne “Nana” Smith [nee Talbot].
A celebration of life and homegoing service for Ruth Vaille Sidonne “Nana” Smith [nee Talbot], wife of the late Dennis Arthur Smith, daughter of the late Hastings and Nita Talbot, loving mother to Alexander and Natalie Talbot in her 86th year of No. 1 Douglas Drive, Smith’s Parish will be held on January 7, 2023 at the Open Door Christian Assembly, 22 Tommy Fox Road, St. Davids at 12:00pm. Colours can be worn.
Left to mourn her passing are her grandchildren Macio Talbot [Liseta], Trakia Wainwright [Ernest]; great grandchildren Phoenix Bowers, Canon Talbot, Nathen Madeiros, Izeya Wainwright, E’Rynn Paynter; daughter-in-law Karen Alpert and children E’Lan Workman, Jerrik Arango and Dillon Arango; special daughter Sophia [Terry] Thomas; sisters-in-law Rose Ray and Shirlene Talbot; brothers-in-law Michael Smith [Shirley], Don Smith [Marlene] and Steve Smith; special family and friends Dallas Bowers, Nikki Bowers, Ingrid Applewhaite, the Medeiros family, Dianne Flood, Dorothy-Ann Seaman, Joni Wainwright, Linda Salaam, Joan Gibbons, Evelyn Paynter, Ammer-Jean Raynor, Sandra Joell, Tracey Warner; church families from the Open Door Christian Assembly and the Cobb’s Hill Methodist Church, relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Ruth was predeceased by brothers, Arnold Talbot, William “Burch” Talbot, Sargent Talbot and sisters Delight “Dee” Tavares, Shirley Talbot and Halcyon “Elsie” Talbot.
