Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Mrs. Sheila Elizabeth Lawrence Looby [nee Tacklin].
Mrs. Sheila Elizabeth Lawrence Looby [nee Tacklin] in her 86th year, formally of Pembroke.
Daughter of the late Reid Tacklin and Marguerite Fubler [nee Dowling]; beloved mother of Marie [Clayton] Busby, Stuart Lawrence, Shirlene [Adrian] Spencer, and the late Llewellyn Lawrence Sr. Cherished sister of brother, Alfred [Barbara] Fubler. She will be lovingly remembered by nephew: Ronald [Rhonda] Tacklin and family. Grandchildren: Oronde [Alana]; Kamaria [Daryl]; Dulani [Nayo]; Fatima; Bianca [Theodore Jr.]; and Llewellyn Jr. Great-grandchildren: Santera, James III, Sauco, Bria, Sanjai, Theodore III, Mia, Ori, Daniel, and Karalyn. Other special relatives including nephews, nieces, and cousins too numerous to mention.
She was also predeceased by husband, Clifford Looby; sister, Leona Tacklin; and daughters-in-law, Glorene Lawrence and Elizabeth Lawrence, and grandchild, Adonis and great-grandchild, Oronde Jr.
Dearest friends: Mary Trott and Rev. Michael Barclay. The Lawrence and Looby families. Special thanks to: Jenelle Bailey [special granddaughter] and staff who helped care for her. There will be no viewing. Funeral service will be held at St. Paul AME Church, Church Street, Hamilton on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. There will be no wake.
