We regret to announce the passing of Sherma M. Simmons of 9 Ewing Street Pembroke, daughter of the late Oren Smith and Marion Aquila Smith; Lovingly survived by her children: Anika Smith, Kimberlee Simmons, Carlton Simmons and Sherleeta Simmons-Talbot [Jibreel]; sister to Oren Smith [Nelda], the late Charles C. Smith, and the late Alvin Smith, in her 72nd year. Also surviving are grandchildren: Ayahne, Carlayah, Elijah, Adrionna, Jayshon [Taylor], Yanea, Jennayah [deceased], Anszar, Nailah, Aminah; Great grandchildren: X’Niyah, Joziyah, Ah’Zari; Special family and friends too numerous to mention.
A graveside service and interment will be held at 3pm on Sunday May 11th, 2025, at Ferry Reach Muslim Burial Site. There will be no viewing.
