Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Shirley Idona Ernester Simmons.
A homegoing service for Shirley Simmons, wife of the late Gerald Simmons, loving mother of Kevin and Karana Simmons, grandson Jeri Simmons, daughter of the late Samuel Daniels and the late Sophie Daniels, sister to Melvina Simons, Adrie Lightbourne, brothers Charles Tweed, Samuel Daniels, James Daniels, Humphrey Daniels, will be held today, November 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, St. John’s Road, Pembroke.
There will be no viewing. Interment to follow at Pembroke Parish Cemetery.
Lovingly survived by nephews: Stanley Thomas [Karen], Roger and Dane Stovell, Roger Amott, Dean Edness, Ray Charles [Sharon], Colin Simmons, Dennis Simmons [Lisa]; nieces: Lillian Robinson [Anthony], Patricia Hull [Barry], Marilyn Peggy Jackson, Rita [Jackson], Dawnette Simons, Ali Watlington, Patricia Mallam, Pamela Greyson [Desmond], Patricia Simmons, Nan Simmons [Derrick], Jodie Edness, Gina Daniels, Tracy Wilson; great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law: Rosie and Gail Daniels.
